Hi there,
I am not sure what this error is related to
found no layout file for “JSON” for kind “page”: You should create a template file which matches Hugo Layouts Lookup Rules for this combination.
In my config.yaml file I have these output formats
# Output format type
outputs:
home:
- HTML
- JSON
page:
- HTML
- JSON
section:
- HTML
- JSON
outputFormats:
JSON:
MediaType: application/json
BaseName: index
IsHTML: false
IsPlainText: true
noUgly: false
Rel: alternate
what I need to look into?
You are more likely to receive a prompt and accurate response if you post a link to the public repository for your project.
See https://discourse.gohugo.io/t/requesting-help/9132.
Let us see your code
Include a link to the source code repository of your project, because we really need the context of seeing your templates and partials to be able to help you. It is trivial to do a quick git clone
on your repo, then run hugo server
in your project, to help you out. On the other hand, recreating your code from screenshots, or sort of guessing at it, is not.
If you can’t share your repository for whatever reason, consider creating a dummy repo that you can share, which reproduces the problem you’re experiencing.

got it,
but usually is there a page where I can learn what this error means
from what I understand it is asking me to create json layout is it a thing
like header.html or footer.html do I have to create a file.json in Hugo to use json or geojson
thanks
Maybe this will help:

But without details it’s difficult to provide… details.
