Do pages inherit parameters from their .Section?

Hi,
I don’t understand how or if parameters in sections’ frontpage are inherited to resource pages downward. If in docs/section1/section2/page.md section1 has for instance NoHierarchy: true, do all descendant pages inherit it ? Can I access .Params.NoHierarchy from all those pages ?
If not, how do I ask “if any of your ancestor has .NoHierarchy” ?
Also, is there a simple way to request the first parent in the line of ancestor, that is also a page ? My sections usually aren’t, unless they are.

No by default they don’t inherit anything. You must use Cascade Front Matter to achieve this.
