Deleting/unpublishing items

Hugo has a useful feature for automatically publishing content on a particular date.

publishdate: 2014-12-25

I have some questions:

  • Is there a plan to have a similar ‘removedate’ key to allow content to lapse automatically?
  • Or is there a different way mark content as having been deleted without deleting the corresponding file?
  • Is it possible to include a time as well as a date? e.g. “2007-04-05T14:30” (ISO8601 format)

To delete, you could mark is a draft (draft: true). Kind of hackish.

I already do that. Don’t like it, so I raised the question.

Also, it relies on manual action on the appointed date, which is quite obviously not automatic.
