Cool sites that run Hugo

Thanks Idarek ! While back I did a test with lighthouse prior to hosting the site but it wasn’t as bad as it was on pagespeed.web.dev

I was quite shocked when I saw the result for mobile. I’ll am about to convert all my images to webp that’s something that will help for content compression. I hope. Thanks again for your inputs.

I might be biased coz I hate slides, but perhaps the portfolio section could work better as a grid.

This one uses a very old version of Hugo (0.16) https://bugtrackers.io/

Not sure about “cool”, but here’s my Hugo-powered site. I migrated from WordPress a couple of years ago now. I use the website for my work, for sharing my PhD research and for blogging/photoblogging. Hugo’s been really great to work with. My site has blog posts, more conventional pages, podcasts, photos, RSS feeds of various sections, rotating banner images on the homepage, etc.

Here’s another one that may be of interest to you all — hugoconf.io — one of our devs built it with Hugo, Alpine.js, Bookshop, and Tailwind CSS. I use it as a content editor via CloudCannon, and it’s a dream for build speeds.

Nice, but the hosting isn’t great. Run page throug Pagespeed Insight and you will see a lot of red.

Ps. CLS is green :+1:

Fairly enough Cloudflare also did a blog post when migrating back to Hugo.

A quote from this article:

With the move to Hugo, we were able to merge everything into a single project – in other words, 48 moving pieces became 1 single piece!
