Hello everybody,
I need the menu in the story theme to collapse.
Otherwise I’m restricted to very few menu entries.

Is this a proper approach to my needs?
The story theme comes with Tachyons CSS

This is related to html and css and not Hugo specific.
To answer your question: yes having that sort of menu does seem to solve the obstacle you have. The implementation may require you to change the html used to render the menu on the story theme. This is the part where we can step in to help, if you decide to go that route.
Everything else is just regular html and css that falls outside the scope of the forum.
