Hello, friends!
I’m starting to learn Hugo documentation and want to use it to build websites.
However, it seems like the documentation sections are currently sorted alphabetically, rather than in a logical, beginner-to-advanced order.
For example, on this page: Hugo Documentation, the “Getting Started” and “Installation” sections appear near the bottom, while more advanced topics like “Functions” and “Methods” are listed earlier.
I’m also wondering — are the inner sections of the documentation also messed up and sorted alphabetically, rather than by learning progression?
Is there a recommended reading path through the documentation, starting with the basics and moving to more advanced topics?
A few months back we made a new theme for the docs site, with a section based navigation replacing the old menu+taxonomy based navigation.
With this, the current content structure became sub optiomal, as you point out.
We’re in the process of reworking the content structure so it makes more sense. We will get there.
