Any home for headless page bundles?

The docs make it clear: only leaf bundle can be made headless. However, I need to put them somewhere. They do not belong to any particular section, putting them under content root is also not particularly tidy.

I can, of course, invent some front matter parameter just for that, filter the sections by this parameter, and then watch all the places where this “hidden” section can potentially surface.

Is there any better solution for that?

For example, put everything under content/headless/.

content/headless/_index.md (TOML):

[cascade._build]
list = "never"
render = false

content/headless/_index.md (YAML):

cascade:
  _build:
    list: never
    render: false
