I just found this site where it shows the historical record of repo stars, PRs, issues, and PR creators.
It’s amazing to see how Hugo started at the bottom and then jumped to the #2 spot.

There is a guy who does a lot of these charts on YouTube about different things. Really helps to see how different things change overtime. Hugo’s best selling point for me was the single binary aspect (and developing everything locally without installing other dependencies).
