Remove blank line in YAML Frontmatter

I deleted something from YAML frontmatter in multiple files in a site I am converting to Hugo. This left a blank line between variables in the frontmatter. Does anyone have an idea how to remove this line for multiple files? For example, the blank line between title and slug?

title: My Title

slug: /slug/
---

In Notepad++ —

  1. Ctrl+H
  2. Find what: ---(?:(?!---).)+?\K(\R){2,}(?=.*?---)
  3. Replace with: $1
  4. CHECK Wrap around
  5. CHECK Regular expression
  6. CHECK . matches newline
  7. Replace all

(Necessary changes apply when using “Find in files” option.)
