# Quick way to generate dummy content?

I’m just starting to get into Hugo’s [pagination](https://gohugo.io/templates/pagination/) and I’d like to test a number of pages.

Is there a quick way to automatically generate dummy content for Hugo? I’ve seen similar things for npm (eg [dummy-json](https://www.npmjs.com/package/dummy-json)).

Well, you could put frontmatter and content into an archetype (like, a “lipsum” paragraph or two), then use `hugo new` to generate a bunch of pages. Once you’re done, just put the archetype back to something that would work better for the usual situation.
