Hi, I’m using Hugo for a Spanish-speaking site, and the current capitalizations for the articles’ titles don’t match with the rules for Spanish. Is there a simple way to override it and preserve the original one?

How are you setting titles currently? Generally speaking, the title is exactly same (even case) as what on enters in the front matter.

Hugo typically follows a function for Titles which can look strange - but you can customise it

see this article and section on Titles

> **[Configure Hugo](https://gohugo.io/getting-started/configuration/#configure-title-case)**
>
> How to configure your Hugo site.

Also have a look at

> **[title](https://gohugo.io/functions/title/)**
>
> Converts all characters in the provided string to title case.

and

> **[humanize](https://gohugo.io/functions/humanize/)**
>
> Returns the humanized version of an argument with the first letter capitalized.

You’re right, I found it’s actually my theme that was making the capitalization and not Hugo. Thanks for the help.
