# New asdf plugin

I have an old site that I don’t have the time at the mo to port to the latest version of GoHugo, but I wanted to start work on a new site using the latest version.

[asdf](https://github.com/asdf-vm/asdf) is my go-to version manager, and found it was missing a plugin for GoHugo.

Not any more 🙂

If you’re not familiar with it already, do check asdf out. It maintains a `.tool-versions` file in whatever directory you use it in, and automagically sorts out shim links to the right tool version for that directory. Super cool.

Great job, thank you. One missing feature is the option to install the extended version of Hugo. Could you enable the issue tracking on the repo [https://bitbucket.org/mgladdish/asdf-gohugo](https://bitbucket.org/mgladdish/asdf-gohugo) ?
