Hello, I am new to Hugo.

Is it possible to use js libraries with Hugo. I am mostly interested in GSAP for animations, and possible D3 later for data visualizations. I also plan on animating svg’s. Do these libraries just go into static folder? What’s the best way to set them up.

I think I found what I needed…

The Victor Boiler Plate ([https://github.com/netlify/victor-hugo](https://github.com/netlify/victor-hugo))

If I just clone this repo do I have to manually update the hugo.exe

You use JS anyway you please in a Hugo site, according to current web standards and practices.

Yes, you’ll have to update the Hugo .exe manually, in the future
