You can check the value of .Site.BaseURL, and then not call the twitter, Instagram stuff if the value is "localhost". Also there’s an open feature request: [image] Issue: Add .Site.IsServer to determine if the site was built in server mode opened by mydoghasworms on 2018-03-07 …

Update: The solution is not working on Hugo 0.41 [Screenshot_20180611_082026] I can’t run hugo server at offline because the tweet and instagram shortcode need to hit web service.
