Hi all,

I’m relatively new to Hugo, and started going through [Retrolog.io | Creating a Hugo Theme From Scratch](https://retrolog.io/blog/creating-a-hugo-theme-from-scratch/) and what I’ve built seems to ignore the \_index.md in the content directory.

Would be greatly appreciated if someone could at least point me into the direction of why that is, and how to fix it.

My guess is that the `layouts/index.html` template is missing `{{ .Content }}`.

It is easier to help if you provide a link to your repo. Then we can see the code instead of guessing.

Thanks Frjo, that was the issue.
Currently the site is only on my computer otherwise I would have shared a link to it.
