Is he also maintaining the Debian and Ubuntu packages? Because these seem to be also stuck on 0.96.

Hi! Sorry, regarding the Debian (and thus Ubuntu) package: I was just too busy and took me until June to finally catch up.

About the Snap package: It had to do with the fact I did things in the wrong order, got busy, and didn’t follow up as soon as I could; see snap denials /etc/gitconfig · Issue #6226 · gohugoio/hugo · GitHub
