How to get taxonomy name instead of slug

I’m trying to list all series in a sidebar but I’m not able to get the name of the series. Instead I only see the slug. I’ve added the following to the configuration to add the series taxonomy:

[taxonomies]
  category = "categories"
  tag = "tags"
  series = "series"

For the sidebar I have the following code:

<ul>
    {{ $.Scratch.Set "series" (cond .Site.Params.sidebar.seriesByCount .Site.Taxonomies.series.ByCount .Site.Taxonomies.series.Alphabetical) }}
    {{ range $key, $value := $.Scratch.Get "series" }}
    <li>
        <a href="{{ printf "%s/%s" "series" $value.Name | urlize | relLangURL }}/">
            {{ $value.Name }}<span class="count">{{ $value.Count }}</span>
        </a>
    </li>
   {{ end }}
</ul>

I also have 2 posts with the following piece of front matter:

series: ["Trage Tochten"]

The generated HTML code is:

<ul>
  <li>
    <a href="../series/trage-tochten/">
      trage-tochten<span class="count">2</span>
    </a>
  </li>
</ul>

My question is how to get the actual series name (Trage Tochten) instead of the slug?

I’ve found one option is to use

{{ $value.Name | humanize | title }}

inside the a element but that could result in a different text compared to what I’ve entered in the front matter. For now, this will probably work but a better solution would be appreciated.
