# Exclude a category from showing up in posts

I want to exclude a category from showing up in posts, mainly a category called myblog

but it did not work.

Would be helpful to post the part of the code that is the problem, the logic of the whole thing is a lot to go through.  
Do you mean category or section?

Is it this part?  
So you want to only to exclude category/section on the homepage?  
Creating $pages for NOT home could be done in an {{ else }}. It would save creating it when it doesn’t use it.  
You are testing for the string “true” I think that might work anyway but you are probably testing for a Boolean **true**.
