Combine two pages into one

I’m not sure if this is possible or not, after going through the docs. I thought maybe using some sort of horrible hack with shortcodes, but that probably wouldn’t work I’m thinking, and either way it would be improper. Any ideas, or anyone that has done this?

Essentially my thought being that if I have a documentation page. I could also have a news/blog post introducing why I was involved or started on that project in the first place. But ultimately I want to keep the two pages separate. Hope that makes sense. Something like

{{.DOC}}

Can’t this just be in a list layout template (set up to be used by the doc content), then before it has a call to the Blog content which limits it to the specific block post (perhaps through front matter)?
